Day 56 - Juliana's 1st Communion (digital art)

I am the bread that gives life.... John 6:51
While working on this request from a coworker, I wanted to add color because it was for an 8 year old. My first intention was to add a rose to the picture, but as I brought it into Photoshop, it filled in as the background and it became an unexpected answer to adding color. I love it when the unexpected happens in  just the right way.

Day 55 - Play Dough Fun (muffin dough)

I couldn't resist a little play dough fun before my husband popped these into the over. They were delicious with honey.

I paint and sculpt to get a grip on reality... to protect myself.

Artistically I am still a child with a whole life ahead of me to discover and create. I want something, but I won't know what it is until I succeed in doing it.

Day 54 - Gayle

The Lord himself watches over you! Psalm 121:5
A gift to my best friend Gayle. Happy birthday now-4-years-closer-to-retirement-Gayle ;).

This project has taught me so much, such as how to connect a laptop to a printer wirelessly, convert a Photoshop image to a JPEG file, what the difference between that and a GIF file is and how to use Photoshop a little bit better. So much learn. This actually prints out nicer than it looks on the web as the grays at the bottom of the image blend better than they appear here. The image will be mounted to an 8x10 canvas with a hook/picture stand to the back.

Where did I find my letters:?
"G" - Lake Park's metal rails over a walking bridge.
"A" - The rusty metal post that hold's our street's name sign.
"Y" - Windows outside a UWM building.
"L" - Also from UWM, part of the sundial mounted on that building.
"E" -Forget-me-not flowers from my garden, also used in "LOVE" a few days previous.

It's late, 10:29 pm Sunday night, back to my paying job in the a.m. Good night ;)

Day 53 - Dead Fish Hat: Stage Done!

I was finally able to present John Gillespie with his Fish Hat last Sunday. He loved the hat so much he planned to wear it on his next fishing show. His lovely wife Trish asked if I could make them quick so by next Christmas, I could sell them. Maybe not knitting them, but perhaps by using fleece I could produce a school of fish hats.

Day 51 - Hue new, digital art

I took the flowers from Day 50 and played till I found something new I liked. It's not a matter of what's good or bad, right or wrong, but what just seems to please me. This is why art in any form can be so satisfying.

But who can paint like Nature?
Can imagination boast, amid its gay creation, hues like hers?

Day 50 - Blue Pen Flowers

More pens for the office. Nobody realizes what they are until they ask for your pen and you point them to the flowers. I would like to find some roses for the house pens.

Day 49 - L - ♥ - V - E

♥♥♥ They're married and with this, a gift from the heart ♥♥♥

For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart.
It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.

Day 48 - Cardinal Painty Photo

This little guy was having dinner at our house today. Earlier there  was a naughty squirrel helping himself to the feed. A rap on the window let him know his kind was not allowed at the feeder. What if squirrels had lawyers?
